Another Rough Week Ahead For American

Things don’t get much better for American Airlines this week.  Flights may be back to normal but now they face days of verbal lashing from their employees.   The pilots are planning a mysterious protest on Tuesday – something they’re calling a “national action day”.  They won’t say where they’re going to protest but they’re going to be sending teams out to a bunch of locations to demonstrate against the bonuses that management will receive.

The employees would have complained about the bonuses regardless of what happened last week.  But, coming off a week that frustrated customers and could cost the airline $30 million dollars or more — the bonuses look worse from a PR standpoint.

Stay tuned.  Looks like we’ll be spending some time at the airport again this week.
